Why so? Well, being an AvMA member is a mark of our commitment to the highly specialised field of Medical Negligence Law. Membership is quite a selective thing. It shows we don’t just dabble in Medical Negligence, nor are we simply Personal Injury lawyers who try to get to grips with the complexities whenever a medical negligence case comes along.

As solicitors who have worked solely in this area for over 15 years we have built up the knowledge and experience necessary to fight these cases properly and our AvMA membership is testament to that. We think this gives us the right to describe ourselves as Medical Negligence “experts”.

AvMA’s Role in UK Medical Negligence

AvMA is an independent charitable organisation providing support for the thousands of people who have suffered as a result of medical accidents, getting justice for patients and preventing similar accidents happening again in the future. What’s more, AvMA has a very significant role to play in how Medical Negligence law is conducted in this country. In fact, by meeting the strict criteria to become an AvMA member we are one of the few firms able to offer qualifying clients Legal Aid in Medical Negligence cases.

“Action against Medical Accidents (AvMA) is the independent charity which promotes better patient safety and justice for people who have been affected by a medical accident. AvMA believes that whatever the cause of a medical accident, the people affected deserve explanations, support, and where appropriate, compensation. Furthermore, we all deserve to know that the necessary steps will be taken to prevent similar accidents being repeated.”
