Who is John?

Hello, I’m John Pollitt and I lead the Medical Negligence legal team here at Pearson Hinchliffe LLP.  We have offices in Manchester and Oldham but our clients come from all over England.

And welcome to my mini Medical Negligence website!

In these few pages I hope you’ll get a sense of what my team and I are all about. In this age of “claims middlemen” it is more important than ever that people like us, who care passionately about our clients and the highly specialised work we do, are seen differently.

So, what’s different about us?

Well, we’re not claims middlemen - that’s for sure. Far from it; when people come to us they are often frustrated, angry and upset. They want to talk to someone personally about what they or their loved one has been through and about their legal options. I can’t promise to be able to answer every question - and there are usually lots! - but I will endeavour to get to the bottom of what happened.

Usually, if there is a case of possible negligence and a reasonable claim for damages, I can tell quite quickly. If not, I will at least endeavour to get an explanation from the relevant medical authority for what actually happened (contrary to opinion, this is what most clients want in the first place).

What else can you expect?

If we agree your claim is worth pursuing, you will get the full and undivided attention and cooperation of me and my team, which is made up of solicitors and medical experts who work solely on Medical Negligence compensation cases. We will do everything in the power of the law to reach a speedy and successful conclusion for you; many of our clients measure this ’success’ in terms of whether we recover the maximum damages allowed.
